Happy December, Stewart School! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are joyfully preparing for the winter holidays.
First, I want to thank the Family Fun Committee for all the effort they put into our inaugural Stewart Turkey Trot. It was amazing! Thank you to the parents who volunteered at the event or donated snacks and supplies to make the event a success. The kids had so much fun running, playing, and snacking ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Two oversized turkeys even made a surprise appearance! We look forward to our next Family Fun event, the Stewart Spring Carnival in June.
Congratulations to the third grade for putting on a spectacular Thanksgiving show. We are still singing the Turkey Tango! And thank you to all of the parents who helped with Thanksgiving crafts in the month of November.
Stewart School is decked for the winter holidays thanks to the efforts of the Beautification Committee, led by Catherine Griffing. Thank you to the parents who helped decorate and to everyone who contributed to the decorations. The school looks so festive, and is sure to bring holiday cheer to our students and visitors.
A round of applause to all of our Reflections participants. Stewart proudly submitted over 50 entries this year! Results will be announced later this month, but in our eyes you are all winners who artfully expressed the theme “Accepting Imperfection.”
The annual Stewart Holiday Craft Fair is approaching on Friday, December 13. This service learning project raises money for a local charity ahead of the winter holidays. Keep an eye on your email for information about how to donate. Students will assemble crafts to sell at the fair on Friday, December 6, and we thank the parents who have volunteered to help with this endeavor and to all parents who donated craft materials. I am particularly grateful to the committee chairs, Jennie Fromkin and Gemma Deveney, for your many hours spent planning, organizing, and crafting. Thank you!
I wish you all a beautiful holiday, and a restful extended break. See you in 2025!
