Stewart School Newsletter
October 2025
After a busy September and the start to the school year, fall is finally underway at Stewart
School.
It was nice to meet many of you at Back to School Night. A big thank you to our grade reps and
class parents for helping the night run smoothly.
Spirit Week came early this year and was an amazing success thanks to our dedicated Spirit
Week committee. Thank you to all the students who created posters for our Spirit Week poster
contest and congratulations to all of our contest winners! It was fun to see your artwork
displayed at the High School. Thanks to all of the Spirit Week committee members and children
who helped decorate our PTA float.
Another huge thank you to the Photography Committee and all the parent volunteers who made
Stewart Picture Day a success. We could not have done it without you. Don’t forget to order
your school pictures when you receive your child’s proofs. This important fundraiser supports
PTA programs in all of our schools.
Stewart School is all ready for fall thanks to the efforts of our Stewart Beautification committee.
The pumpkins, corn stalks and beautiful flowers look so fantastic outside of the school.
Our first Stewart PTA meeting was on Thursday, October 9 at 9:30 AM in the Stewart School
cafeteria. The first meeting was a wonderful reunion of Stewart parents as we embark on a new
school year together. If you were unable to attend in person the video recording will be posted
on our school website.
There is still time to volunteer for Stewart School Committees. If you
have interest in volunteering on one of our many committees please email
The first All Schools PTA meeting of the year is scheduled for
Wednesday, October 15 at 7 PM in the Middle School cafeteria.
Stewart School will celebrate Districtwide Unity Day on Wednesday, October 22. Please
encourage your child to wear orange in solidarity with all students of the district.
A reminder that the National PTA Reflections Contest is now open. This year’s theme is “I
Belong.” Students in all grades and of all abilities are encouraged to explore the theme through
one of six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition,
photography, and visual arts. Entries are due by November 5 and entry forms can be found on
the PTA website. Please encourage your children to enter!
Finally, Stewart School is excited to host our second annual Halloween Parade the morning of
Halloween, Friday, October 31. Parents are invited to attend from 10:30-11:30. We can’t wait
to see everyone there.

Upcoming important dates for Stewart Families:

We're bringing the energy, the colors, and the school pride! This is one of our favorite traditions leading up to Homecoming in Garden City Schools. Where students, staff, and families come together for a week of fun, creativity, and community.
Each day has its own exciting theme—so get those outfits ready and let's make it a week to remember!
