Happy March, Locust Families! I hope everyone enjoyed their winter break. Spring is almost here and I’m sure the children will be happy to get outdoors more!
February was a fun month at Locust. The Sweetheart Craft was a big success! Thank you to everyone that was able to attend and spend some time with their child. A big thank you to Jillian Breusch and The Family Fun committee for preparing for the craft and Valentine's word search for the students. Students celebrated the 100th day of school and the PARP committee hosted a successful virtual visit from author Dennis Matthew who read his book “How Grizzly Found Gratitude”.
Each year the PTA funds a cultural trip for all First graders in the district. This year, the students
from Homestead, Hemlock, and Locust had the opportunity to see The Gruffalo’s Child at The Tilles Center. The students had a wonderful time at the show. Thank you to the class parents for chaperoning!

Pictures can be from field trips, concerts, craft days etc. When sending pictures, please make sure there are at least three Locust students in each picture to ensure every child has a chance to be featured. In the subject line please write the teacher's name followed by the event name. Thanks in advance!
Save The Date for our annual PTA Dinner Fundraiser on Wednesday, March 26th. This year's dinner theme is "Ascending to New Heights." Not only is this event always a fun occasion, but it is the biggest annual PTA fundraiser and generates money the PTA uses to fund many wonderful things in our school community.
