Can’t believe we made it to June! We look forward to Field Day and our Celebrations of Learning! We’ll say goodbye to our 1st Graders and wish them well as they move on to Stewart!
The Spring Sing was a success! Thank you to Mrs. Glickman for all her hard work with the children. The kids loved having their families back to their classrooms for celebrations afterwards.
Our PTA Family Fun event, featuring Gary the Great, was a success! Gary put on two fantastic shows outside. We lucked out with a beautiful day to be out on the Locust Fields. Kids and parents alike were entertained and amazed!
A huge thank you to our 1st Grade Memory Book Chairs: Stefanie Balestreiri & Catherine Griffing. They have done an amazing job putting together this special memento for our 1st Graders. Your time and effort is appreciated. I can’t wait for our 1st Graders to receive them!
Heather Forest, Storyteller, will be coming to Locust for two shows on June 10th. We are appreciative of the funds & collaboration with Arts & Ed to make this happen. Ms. Forest has already performed to enthusiastic crowds at Hemlock and Homestead.
The PTA will sponsor a Glow Party for our 1st Graders on June 21st. It will be for students only. Additional details to come!
Thank you for your support at the May 21st Vote. The Budget Vote passed!

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of our PTA volunteers. I have been blown away by the support we have received. So many of you have donated your time and your resources to make this a fantastic year for our students! A special thank you to all of the class parents, grade representatives and committee chairs, It has been a pleasure getting to know so many of the wonderful Locust families. I am excited to pass the torch to Lauren Ryan, who will serve as the 2024-2025 Locust PTA Director. I know she will do great things!
Have a safe and fun summer!
Warmly,
Meaghan Hurley
