First Grade Service Learning Project
Homestead and Locust participated in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive for the First Grade Service Learning Project and it was a huge success with 166 pajamas collected. For every pair of brand new pajamas donated, the organization matches the donation with a book. Many children also made their own bookmarks which will be included in our donation delivery. The first graders had a pajama day to coincide with an assembly on Wednesday, November 27th where they discussed how they helped around their house and how the donated pajamas would be used. Here are the upcoming events for Homestead Families:
PTA meetings offers a valuable opportunity to interact with other parents, hear from a school teacher or principal, and learn up-to-date information. Parents can ask questions and start to build relationships with parents, teachers and school administrators. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences. Come join us!
