Happy New Year Homestead! I hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season.
December was filled with Winter Concerts showcasing the wonderful work students do in both music with Ms. Glickman and art with Ms. Leyland.

Committee Events and Updates
PARP (Pick A Reading Partner)
PARP hosted their annual virtual Polar Express reading with conductor, Stratford Principal Hartigan, on Wednesday, December 18th @ 7:30PM with a special guest appearance from Santa.
On Thursday, January 16th at 6:30PM, PARP will host Spotlight on the Library with a reading of the book “Wish” by Chris Saunders followed by a craft. Details on how to register.
On Thursday, January 23rd, award winning poet and children’s book author, Darren Sardelli, will do a special in-person visit to our Kindergarten students. If you are interested in ordering one or more of Darren Sardelli’s books, please send the following order form to laughalotpoetry@gmail.com.
Beautification
Thank you so much for everyone’s continued generosity to make Homestead festive and beautiful throughout the year. The Beautification Committee did an amazing job turning the inside and outside of Homestead into a Winter Wonderland in time for our phenomenal Winter Concerts.

Registrations (UPK Lottery and Incoming Kindergarten)
Parents of incoming Kindergarten students are invited to register their children for the 2025-2026 academic year. Please remember to bring all required documents to your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns about the registration process, please contact registrar@gcufsd.net.
The 2025-2026 UPK Lottery Registration opens on January 27, 2025 and closes at 3:00PM on January 31, 2025.
