Hi Homestead Families!
I hope you're enjoying your summer. I'm excited to serve my 2nd year as Homestead School’s PTA Director. We're preparing for the start of school and there are many volunteer opportunities available.
If you’re interested in becoming a Class Parent you can fill out a lottery application here. Parents selected for each class will be contacted just before the start of the school year with more details on getting started.
If you haven't had a chance yet, you can review the Homestead PTA committee options and express your interest here. There's something for everyone, whatever your interest, availability and talents! We'll finalize the committees over the next month or so and I will reach out regarding next steps.
Don’t forget to sign up and join the PTA! You can purchase your annual membership here. Your membership supports Homestead and any other Garden City Public School your children attend, whether or not you can volunteer.
We hope to see you at our August events for students to ease into any first day of school jitters.

This event is open to all incoming UPK students attending Homestead to meet fellow classmates.
Tuesday, August 26th at 10:00AM - SEPTA sponsored Kindergarten Play Date
This event is open to all incoming Kindergarten students to meet fellow classmates.
Thursday, August 28th at 2:45PM - PTA “Chalk the Walk”
Students and families are invited to decorate the walkways of Homestead for the first day of school!
First Graders - Stratford Avenue entrance & Kindergarteners - Homestead / Main entrance. The PTA requests that you please bring your own chalk.
