Happy New Year, Homestead! I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and healthy holiday season!
Highlights of December were the Winter Festivals! The children had been practicing for months, and their efforts paid off. Families loved attending the event and sharing in the holiday spirit.
Members of the Health & Safety Committee organized bins of toys and games that parents donated. The students enjoy building with Legos, doing arts & crafts, and playing board games during indoor recess days. A big thank you to the committee members for spending so much time making sure the bins were stocked for our children.
Many students logged on to Zoom to hear Mr. Hartigan (Stratford’s principal) read The Polar Express, an event organized by the PARP committee. Students were surprised and excited to see a special guest at the end of the story! Stay tuned for more great PARP events this winter.
There is a “Math & Cookies” event on Tuesday, January 10th. Kindergarten parents are invited to attend from 9am-10am. The First Grade parent session is from 10:15am-11:15am. This event will give parents an opportunity to learn more about the new math program.
This month, parents of incoming Kindergarten students will be invited to register their children for the 2023-2024 academic year. If you have yet to do so, you can make an appointment using this link. Additionally, please bring the appropriate materials to your appointment. The list of required documents is found here.
A number of our students participated in the Reflections competition. The entries were amazing; our children are so talented! A big thank you Wa Phung, Yasmine Iliya, and the rest of the committee for all their hard work! Congratulations to our Homestead winners:
