Happy New Year! A Strong Start to 2026
Happy New Year! As we welcome 2026, January is already off to a busy and exciting
start at the high school. With important meetings, Skit Night preparations, guidance
updates, and new opportunities for students, the energy of the new year is well
underway. Below are a few highlights and important dates to help you stay informed
and engaged.
PTA Updates
Upcoming High School PTA Meeting
Our next High School PTA meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 13th at 9:15
a.m. This will be an information-filled meeting featuring guidance updates, a Skit Night
update, and important PTA announcements.
Please be sure to add it to your calendar — we’re saving a seat for you!
Skit Night Updates
Our first mandatory Skit Night meeting was held on Wednesday, January 7th. If you
were unable to attend, please review the presentation and required forms, which are
available both here and on ParentSquare.
Thank you to all the parents who have already stepped up to help make this long-
standing senior tradition a success.
Student Opportunities & Awards
Youth Humanitarian Award – In Memory of Stanley Marcus
High school juniors and seniors are invited to apply for the Youth Humanitarian
Award, which honors a student who best exemplifies the humanitarian principles of
Stanley Marcus. As a volunteer-driven organization, the PTA is proud to sponsor this
award in recognition of service, compassion, and community involvement.
Applications are due to Guidance by Friday, January 31, 2026.

Career Resources Committee
The Career Resources Committee is busy planning upcoming programming — more
details will be shared soon. If you are interested in volunteering or participating in future
events, please contact us. We welcome parent involvement and professional expertise.
Guidance Updates
An Open House for incoming 8th grade students and their families will be held on
Thursday, January 29th from 4:00–5:00 p.m. in the High School Library.
Peer Educator applications for the 2026–2027 school year are now available to all 9th
and 10th grade students. Applications are due Friday, January 23, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
Detailed information and applications are available through the Guidance Office.
We look forward to a productive and exciting start to the new year and thank you, as
