And Just Like That… It’s June!

As another school year comes to a close, it is hard to believe June is already here. It is a time

for finals and farewells, awards and celebrations, prom and graduation — and so many special

memories.

It has been an absolute pleasure serving as your High School PTA Director and witnessing the

many incredible accomplishments, milestones, and moments that have made this year so

special at Garden City High School.

To the Class of 2026 — I hope you enjoyed your “Last Ride.” May this next chapter bring you

happiness, success, and endless opportunities. We are so proud of all you have accomplished

and cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you. Congratulations and best wishes

always!

This Month at the High School

This June, the High School community celebrates several meaningful traditions and events,

including:

● Graduation Reception (Co-sponsored by GCTA & PTA)

PTA/SEPTA Senior Awards

On June 4th, the Garden City PTA and SEPTA proudly presented their annual Senior Awards to

an extraordinary group of students whose character, perseverance, compassion, and dedication

have positively impacted our school community.

These awards recognize seniors who exemplify one or more of the following qualities:

Commitment to Others, Perseverance Through Adversity, Inspiration to Many, and a

Love of Learning, as well as the prestigious Gail Madigan Upstander Award.

THANK YOU to all of our High School PTA volunteers! Whether you helped behind the scenes,

volunteered at events, or stepped in whenever a helping hand was needed — please know how

deeply appreciated you are. Your time and dedication make such a difference for our students,

staff, and school community.

A very special thank you to our entire High School PTA Board and to Jane Ellen Rogler for

her continued guidance and support throughout the year.

Thank you as well to all of our committee chairs for your hard work and dedication. A special

acknowledgment to our outgoing senior parent volunteers, Shawn Cohen and Alicia Conafrey

— thank you for your countless hours, generosity, and unwavering support of our students and

programs. We are incredibly grateful.

Incoming 9th Grade Parents — Welcome!

Welcome to Garden City High School! We look forward to meeting you and your students this

fall.

August 31st – Freshman Orientation & Freshman BBQ

The Freshman BBQ is the first fundraiser for the Class of 2030 and a wonderful opportunity

for students and families to connect before the school year begins.

As we close out another wonderful school year, I wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and
