The GC PTA partners with GCUFSD Admin, GC SEPTA, GCTA and more for an outstanding event designed to inform and empower community members.

More about Katie Schumacher: Ms. Schumacher is a Certified New York State Teacher who began Don't Press Send in her hometown of Rockville Centre, NY. She believes that there are many challenges to raising children who are growing up with social media as their primary means of communication. Ms. Schumacher is dedicated to assisting today's children to embrace the many positives of technology and avoid its pitfalls.

John and Mark X. Cronin are the father-son team out to change the world through socks. John Cronin is a young man with Down syndrome who teamed with his father, Mark X. Cronin, to bootstrap their way to a multi-million-dollar social enterprise with a mission to spread happiness. They built John’s Crazy Socks into the World’s Largest Sock Store. More than half their colleagues have a differing ability and every day, John and Mark work to show what people with differing abilities can accomplish.
The goal of ACCES-VR is to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment. It can also support independent living through training, education, and career development. Our ACCES-VR vocational counselor will present on the application process, eligibility, and what is expected from the service. Families of students with IEPs, 504 plans, and declassification plans are invited.
