  • New Security Procedure - Entry to the building will no longer be allowed to drop off lunch, sports equipment, etc. A drop box will be available outside the main entrance if absolutely necessary. Visitors must show ID and be buzzed in.

HS Club and Activities Information
  • Miracle Club - Advisor, Nancy Fleming
    • The Class of 2021 and the Miracle Club are hosting their third annual Noodles for Neuroblastoma dinner at 5 p.m. on March 15th in loving memory of Bobby Menges and Luke Rosato. Please stop by before the PTA dinner to buy some raffles, support the "I'm Not Done Yet" fund, listen to student musicians, chat with students and teachers, and enjoy delicious Italian food. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at
    • Friday, April 27th - The Battle of the Classes to benefit the Jamie and Paige Malone Foundation will be held from 5-9 p.m. in the HS gymnasium. All parents are encouraged to attend to support HS counselor Jim Malone and his family, to win an array of amazing raffle prizes, and to support your children's class as they battle for the 2018 championship title. Please contact Mrs. Fleming ( if you would like to make a monetary or gift contribution to support the Foundation.
  • Fashion Club - Advisor, Erin McKinstry
    • The Fashion Club is holding a drive in conjunction with Long Island Volunteer Center to benefit girls in need of a prom dress, shoes, or handbags. Please drop off any new or gently used dresses, shoes, and handbags by Friday, April 13th in the box located outside the attendance office. Thank you!
  • There is a Unified Basketball meeting Thursday, March 8th at 2:45 in room 148 for anyone interested in playing this Spring.
  • FBLA - Advisor, Erin McKinstry
    • Is collecting new and gently used sneakers to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. Please drop off any sneakers in the FBLA box by the Attendance Office before Monday, April 30th.
  • Tri-M - Advisor, Steve Mayo
    • On March 28th at 7 pm, the Tri-M Honor Society will be hosting a benefit concert to support the Bobby Menges "I'm Not Done Yet" memorial fund. All are encouraged to attend.

Guidance News!
  • Julia Maloney Scholarship – Due March 9th. This is a $12,000 scholarship awarding $3,000 per year for four years. Candidates must attend a post-secondary education program and must have a weighted average of at least 90. Applications include submission of an essay describing the impact a special teacher had in your life.
  • Unsung Hero Scholarship- Due March 9th . All Seniors are encouraged to apply for this scholarship!
  • Do you know a classmate with some special qualities?
    • One who has faced some unique circumstances or challenges?
    • One who has put the needs of others ahead of his/her own?
    • One who has inspired or motivated you in a positive way that is not typically recognized or reward?
    Seniors are required to write an essay of 300-400 words to nominate a deserving classmate as the Unsung Hero from the Class of 2018. The Unsung Hero will be awarded a $2000 scholarship and the Nominator will receive a $1000 scholarship.
  • Attention Juniors: The Adelphi University Prize for Leadership is awarded to high school juniors recognized for exemplary academic achievement and community service. Completed applications are due on Thursday, March 15th. Applications are available in the Counseling Center.
