Monthly eNewsletter School Report

Hello Hemlock families,

November was a busy month at Hemlock.  Our Veterans Day assembly on Thurs. 11/9 was a huge success.  There were 9 grandfathers, and uncle and even a great-grandfather who spoke to the children about their experiences. The whole school sat and listened intently for almost 2 hours.  Parent teacher conferences were scheduled and attended this month.  We also celebrated Thanksgiving with each first grade class hosting a feast on Mon. 11/20.  The children were treated to delicious soup made from vegetables grown in our very own garden and cooked up lovingly by Mrs. Bellovin. Tues., 11/21  was also the 50th day of school.  The excitement was contagious and our wonderful teachers and staff dressed up to mark this first milestone of the school year.

If you haven't done so already please be sure to join the PTA!  Every membership makes a difference!

Primary Report card will be in your child’s backpack Fri., Dec.1st, be sure to look for that.

Winter Festivals

With the month of December comes a lot of fun activities for our students. Each grade will be performing a Winter Festival.  This is where the students get to perform the songs they have been working so hard on in Music Class. After each performance the parents and family members are invited back to the classroom for a small celebration.  See below for dates and times.
